I'm back.

Well, it has been some time since I have contributed to the Daily Dirt.  I'm a little out of practice. My new Steel Life lifestyle accessory line has really taken off over the past several months, so I haven't had much time to blog.

Recently, Steel Life's Shallow Root Vessel was noticed by Apartment Therapy as being a bold and colorful addition to a home or garden.  Since then, you may have seen it on Pinterest and shared on Facebook.

We are now preparing for Dwell on Design in Los Angeles next month.  We are thrilled to be a part of this modern design show!  Stay tuned for more information and pictures from the show.

If you plan on attending Dwell on Design, please stop by Rypen.com's booth 1122 & 1124.  I will unveil yet another planter from The Desert Collection.  You won't be disappointed!

A visit to Aunt Effie's Garden in Palm Springs, CA

While I was down in Palm Springs, I had a chance to visit Aunt Effie's Gardens.  They had a great selection of plant material and the most interesting garden sculptures and art.  Here are a few pictures I took during my visit.

If you are ever in the area, it is worth your while to stop in to this beautiful little nursery!

Great Finds in the Desert

I have just returned from Palm Springs, California for their annual Modernism Week.  I was launching our new Steel Life home & garden line at the Just Modern booth.  While I was there, I found some amazing garden spots and met the most wonderful people.  Over the next couple blogs, I will highlight my favorite places from the five day trip.

The first great spot I came upon was a landscape design/build company, Desert Landscape Design, owned by Jim Haggerty and Daniel Clemens.  If you get a chance, check out their portfolio.  If you are in the Palm Springs area, stop by their office.  Jim and Daniel carry a variety of desert plants and one-of-a-kind container and vertical gardens for purchase.

Love the textures and colors!
